Online CPD modules challenge coaches to observe Masterclass footage and answer a series of learning questions
10,000 coaches have completed online Continued Professional Development through the FA Licensed Coaches' Club website in order to retain their membership for 2014/15.
"Online CPD gives coaches the opportunity to select which module is most relevant to their coaching journey and also to complete their study at a time which is convenient for them."
Figures show The FA Licensed Coaches' Club online modules, which are based around completing learning questions linked to the Masterclass footage, were completed over 10,000 times in 2013/14.
For Head of FA Learning, Jamie Houchen, the success of the first batch of online CPD underlines the importance of offering a varied suite of learning opportunities for coaches.
"We're delighted that the online CPD modules have been well received by our coaching audiences.
"We fully recognise that we have to provide a variety of learning opportunities for coaches to both complete their CPD and develop themselves further.
"We know that time is often at a premium to attend events and that online learning offers a modern and flexible learning alternative for coaches.
"Online CPD gives coaches the opportunity to select which module is most relevant to their coaching journey and also to complete their study at a time which is convenient for them.
"It is important to state that we still believe there is no better way of learning than actually attending FA courses and CPD events in order to interact with others and see our expert coach educators work.
"However, with the quality of footage available and the increased demand for CPD opportunities our approach to online learning will only continue to grow as we look to offer the best suite of football learning in the world."
