Futsal Conference 2014: A Catalyst for Change
New to The FA Licensed Coaches’ Club’s national event calendar is the Futsal Coaching Conference, A Catalyst for Change, which will take place on 22-23 November 2014 at St. George’s Park.
Open to coaches of all levels, this two-day event is targeted at those interested in Futsal as a primary coaching pathway or as a development tool, and will feature top FA and elite futsal coaches. The varied and comprehensive conference schedule will focus on the growing influence that futsal is having on player development in England.
FA Licensed Coaches’ Club manager, Lisa Hollis, explained that the growing popularity of futsal and its extended application in supporting the development of young football players meant it was an easy decision to add the event to The FA Licensed Coaches' Club conference calendar.
“We are incredibly excited about our inaugural futsal Conference in November,” she said.
“What we are witnessing with futsal in this country is the rise of a sport that not only engages young players but one which also teaches transferable skills that benefit their football development.
“For us it was a natural decision to begin strengthening our support of any and all of our FA Licensed Coaches who coach specifically in the futsal format or who are interested in it as a development tool.”
