FA Skills Programme – Short Term Plan School:

No previous Skills Programme delivery. First assessment session to set future objectives for the group. Class teacher has indicated that some players in the class play a lot of football during lunch and break times although no players are part of a team outside of school. There are no special educational needs within the class. Two students will arrive late to each lesson due to extra music work.

Assist with grouping of pupils, if required • Cooperate with coach to help coach profile class to gain a better understanding of their abilities, needs etc

• All players will use different parts of their feet in unopposed and semi opposed situations


• Some players will use different parts of their feet to trick a defender and move past them

Very good first session with the group. The teacher commented “this is actually like a classroom lesson with actual outcomes”


Pupils were able to manage the end game themselves, so work on the social aspects over the coming weeks


More transfer from mid lesson to end of lesson games Individual Possession – Using different parts of the foot when faced with a defender
