WEEK 4 –(b) Combinations in the final third Getting started
• Mark out area 40x30 yards – divided into 3 zones
• 1 ball
• 2 teams of 4 outfield players and two goalkeepers
• 1 attacking player as a target in the final third of the pitch
• Game starts from the goalkeeper who players short to defender
• Play is progressed through the thirds of the pitch with the team in possession looking for opportunities to pass the ball into the front player
• The front player must stay in the attacking third
To make harder
• Allow defender into the end zone to defend
To make easier
• Allow additional players to join the front player whenever they want
