Barrafina Drury Lane The Covent Garden branch of Barrafina has
added a terrace with parasols for Costa Del Sol-style weather, and heaters to combat your typical British summer. Grain Store Don’t fret about your five-a-day at this King’s
Cross restaurant, which pays attention to veg without overlooking meat. The brightly coloured alfresco area is a relaxed setting from which to watch the world go by, complete with the feelgood factor of watching children splashing through Granary Square’s choreographed fountains. à 1-3 Stable St, N1C 4AB. verandah, daahling . And this Irani-style Bombay café has an all-singing, all-dancing one, with vintage decor, and a retractable roof for when the sun goes subcontinental. Donostia Social Club Brixton produces many impressive community
and cooperative initiatives, but Pop’s shipping container village is one of its best yet. Weave past the bouncers and through the young, achingly trendy crowd to this Basque-style tapas bar on the roof. Vie for one of the few tables outside their container and tuck into Ibérico pork cheeks and patatas bravas above the beer-drinking masses. à 49 Brixton Station Rd, SW9 8PQ. Brixton. The Lido Café This could qualify as a waterside venue – if you
swap London’s rivers for its open-air pools. Up against the 1930s art deco splendour of Brockwell Lido, this bohemian café serves a restaurant- worthy menu that attracts a non-swimming crowd. Polpo Notting Hill Notting Hill’s branch of this Venetian-inspired
small-plates bar has the bonus of 20 pavement seats to assist in your admiration of W11’s beautiful people.
