HOUZZ FEATURE

Ideabooks are an efficient and easy way for experts to identify and agree on designs and details with their clients. This approach minimises any crossed wires and allows the design process to continue between meetings, everything is kept in one place and communication is easy and efficient. The Houzz mobile and tablet apps, supported by iOS and Android, mean both parties can work on the go.

Keen Audience

It’s paramount to be in front of an audience that’s really investing in their homes and Houzzers definitely are. In a recent survey, 9,500 UK homeowners on Houzz revealed that they have big plans for their renovation and design projects. Three in four homeowners said they renovated their homes in 2014 and/or had plans to do so in 2015 and 90% of those who renovated hired professional help. In addition, 87% decorated their homes last year and/or are planning projects this year.

In fact, UK homeowners are the most active renovators across Europe, including France, Italy and Germany according to the Houzz & Home Survey, 2015.

Hit the Floor

Another report released by Houzz, The Houzz UK and Ireland Kitchen Trends Study 2015, revealed that the majority of members taking on kitchen renovation projects are opting for substantial upgrades. Nearly two thirds of those who

are working on a kitchen project or planning one in the next 12 months plan to increase the square footage of their space (64%); and over 80% are changing flooring, worktops, cabinets and sinks.

“By creating a compelling profile and by uploading high-quality images retailers and suppliers are able to showcase their offerings.”

Of those updating their flooring, one in five opt for hardwood, the most popular option, followed by ceramic tiles (16%) and porcelain (13%). Millennials, keen on the industrial style trend, are twice as likely to invest in wooden worktops and floors than those aged 55+. Homeowners who are renovating and decorating their master bedrooms, on the other hand, place an importance on replacing the flooring with the majority opting for carpet.

As the saying goes, an Englishman’s home is his castle and with homeowners looking to furnish it as so, there’s simply never been a better time to join Houzz.
