WORKING AT HEIGHT
“The rinse water is being taken care of with environmental consideration according to agreed methods with local environmental authorities – The County Administrative Board and City of Stockholm Environment Department.”
The cleaning started in the autumn of 2015, although a number of breaks were necessary during the winter due to freezing temperatures. The project was completed in April well ahead of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest and its unveiling to an estimated worldwide audience of 200 million.
The project is a part of Kärcher’s cultural sponsorship – an initiative that aims to offer support to the preservation of historical monuments

and buildings. For the Ericsson Globe project Kärcher provided Klätterservice with both equipment and cleaning consultancy entirely free of charge. The cultural sponsorship programme started more than 35 years ago, and since then Kärcher has contributed its products and expertise to over 100 restorative cleaning projects worldwide. Besides the Ericsson Globe, monuments including Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, Mount Rushmore, the London Eye and the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, have been part of the award-winning cultural initiative.
