sound method that connects to a circular economy, which is both internally and externally propagated by the entire organisation’, according to André.

The second award presented by ECMR was its Manufacturer Sustainability Award, and this went to Kärcher Belgium. Having worked in partnership with ECMR since 2013, Kärcher Belgium has continuously aimed at an even more sustainable and responsible means of

André Vonk presented the award to Kees Magtmans, Managing Director of Kärcher Belgium and Hartmut Jenner, CEO, Chairman of the Management Board at Kärcher Worldwide.

celebrating, and these awards are the best way to show colleagues, customers and stakeholders that you really are on top of your game.

Commenting on EFCI’s involvement with the awards, Andreas Lill, Director of the Federation said: “The European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards will be a prominent occasion in the professional cleaning sector calendar, recognising innovation and success. It is important for our industry to have an event of this type across Europe as it offers a great opportunity to share best practice and to develop our profession. We are excited to be part of this inaugural event and look forward to seeing many of our members and fellow professionals there, receiving the recognition they so rightly deserve.”

Founded by the European Cleaning Journal, the high-profile awards will take place at the luxury, five- star Majestic Hotel in Barcelona, on Thursday 29th September, and offers fantastic business networking

opportunities with key influencers, business owners and industry leaders. The awards will also provide educational prospects with roundtable discussions and a conference.

Submissions are welcomed from building service contractors, distributors, facilities managers, manufacturers and individuals, and provides organisations with an excellent opportunity to thank contractors, by nominating them for an award.

Entrants have until midday on Friday, 24th June 2016 to submit their 500-word entry for the judges’ consideration. With a wide selection of categories to choose from, those ahead of their field are strongly encouraged to submit an entry.
