Superior safety for kids

Parents urged to go ‘tech-NO!’
A survey carried out by St. Michael’s House, one of Ireland’s largest providers of community-based services for children and adults with an intellectual disability, has revealed that just under half (49 per cent) of parents read to their children most nights, with almost 29 per cent stating that they never do.
The survey also found that: • 68 per cent of children have their own device • 23 per cent of children use the device as part of his/her bedtime routine • 38 per cent of children asked for a device last Christmas • 43 per cent of children spend more than 45 mins on a device per day • Half of parents are worried that their child spends too much time on the device

Irish company, Babycare International, has launched the Petit Panda Air+ breathable baby pillow from Candide. The pillow is designed with memory foam to create a 2-in-1 cushion that raises baby’s head to keep it rounded, and allows air to circulate through its ventilating mesh weave.
