The latest news and views for dads

Exercise and caffeine boost sexual prowess

Men who exercise more have better erectile and sexual function according to a study that’s just been published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine. ‘When it comes to exercise, there is no one-size-fits-all

approach,’ says report co-author, Dr Stephen Freedland. ‘However, we are confident that even some degree of exercise, even if less intense, is better than no exercise at all.’ In the journal PLOS, meanwhile, experts have suggested

that men, who drink the equivalent caffeine level of two to three cups of coffee a day, are also less likely to experience erectile dysfunction!

Infinitely interactive - and incredible!

Who says it’s only the kids, who can have fun? The Vuzix iWear isn’t so much a case of ‘toys for the boys’, but rather ‘gads’ for the dads! Sleepless nights affect dads too!

If you’re finding yourself up two and three times during the night changing your baby’s nappy, take heart! According to new research from Mintel, dads are now actually enjoying less shut-eye than mums AND leading the way when it comes to night-time nappy changes. Mintel’s research showed that dads are

bearing the brunt of the nightly nappy routine, with more than seven in ten (71 per cent) of dads saying that they change nappies at night, compared to fewer than two thirds (64 per cent) of mums. Dads are also taking a more proactive

role in buying products for their babies, such as baby lotion and baby powder.

However, many dads appear to feel frazzled when buying these products and distress appears to be a common occurrence. That’s because more than half (56 per cent) appear to find the range of products overwhelming, with 36 per cent seeking the advice of experts.
