Next issue July 2017

Spring has finally sprung! And isn’t it great to see? After the long, dark nights of winter, it’s lovely to see the first shoots of spring and enjoy some glorious sunshine. I don’t know about you, but this season really lifts my spirits! Another thing that has really inspired me recently has been the

heart-warming story of six-year-old Ruby Smith. In December last year, Ruby tragically suffered a stroke. After initially being unable to walk or talk, this amazing little girl has fought her way back and is a total inspiration. Read Ruby’s story on page 50. Spring is the season that’s always associated with ‘new’ and

‘fresh’ and so we’re delighted to say that in this issue of Modern Mum we have some fantastic new features, which we hope you’ll love. For a start, we have a great new section called ‘Modern Life’ where, in each issue, we’ll

feature experts in their fields who’ll keep you up to date with all that you need to know about beauty, skincare, haircare and diet during pregnancy. Just turn to page 35 and see what you think! Regular Modern Mum readers will know that dads are never forgotten in our magazine

and so, in this issue, we’ve launched our new Just for Dads section (p63). If your partner or hubby would like to be featured in the next issue, just message us on Facebook. We’d love to hear from you. Elsewhere in the magazine it’s the usual mix of advice and support: from the best in

pregnancy apps (p14), to places to visit this Easter (p73), to choosing the best pushchair for your baby – and your lifestyle! (p21). On page 8, former Miss Ireland and now doting mum, Pamela Flood, tells us about her

return to the workplace after six years as a stay-at-home mum, while on page 44, The Apprentice star, Grainne McCoy, tells us how she combined becoming a mum at 16 with developing her successful career.

Enjoy! Debbie
