Well, stone me!
There’s no doubt that stone – the shade that falls halfway between white and sandy beige – has been a major hit with designers this season. From trousers to shirts, suits to jeans, stone will give you a sun-friendly alternative to white this spring.
Fatherhood a weighty issue
Becoming a dad can make you put on weight whether or not you live with your child says a study that’s been published in the American Journal of Men’s Health. Researchers followed more than 10,000 men for 20 years, and
discovered that men, who live with their children, gain a 2.6 per cent increase in their body mass index (BMI) after becoming a dad for the first time. Those who don’t live with their children, however, only gain a two per cent increase in their BMI, according to the experts.
An app for everything you need
On page fourteen of this issue we’ve taken a look at pregnancy apps, but did you know that there is a raft of apps that are specifically for dads to be? Pregnancy for men (right) offers a month-
by-month look at what’s going on inside your partner’s belly. It also features glimpses of current pregnancy news, and there are some really funny – and more importantly honest – audios of men offering advice.

The Labor and Contraction Timer, meanwhile, will allow you to lend a hand during labour. Acting as a stopwatch, this app it measures the time between contractions and the length of the contraction, and will help you and your partner to know when it’s time to go to the hospital. Informative and easy to understand.
Finally, the Guys Guide to the Delivery Room app will walk you through different delivery room scenarios in a relaxed and easy-to-understand fashion, providing you with information about issues such as C-sections and episiotomies.
