BUSINESSES URGED TO GET MESSY AND RAISE MONEY
Cynthia Spencer Hospice has opened the registration process for its most vibrant fundraising event - the 2017 Colour Run. The popular event will return in May for the third
year and this time there is an award for the corporate team that raises the most money for the charity. Events fundraiser Sarah Denston said: “The Colour
Run is an untimed, non-competitive event. You can get around the 5K course whichever way you want to - run, walk, jog, salsa - it's up to you! “As competitors make their way along the course
they'll pass through paint stations and get showered in clouds of powdered paint. “Last year nearly 500 people took part and we’re appealing to businesses to help us double that number this year. We’re offering an award for the corporate
team that raises the most money so there is more reason than ever before for businesses to get involved. Please help us support patients diagnosed with life- limiting illness and their families.” One business that is up for the challenge is ACS
Office Solutions. ACS joint managing director Jon Thorpe said: “For the last two years, we’ve volunteered at the event and we are back this year in full force. We are a competitive bunch and take our paint throwing very seriously so watch out runners.” The event will start at 10am on Saturday, 6 May, at
Overstone Gate, Sywell Road, Overstone, Northampton, NN6 0AB.

MEMBER ZONE HELP FOR THE
HOMELESS Orbital Recruitment is working with the Hope Centre to help homeless people get back into work. The Northampton-based
recruitment agency, which specialises in industrial temporary labour, began working with the centre after it helped to secure employment for a homeless man who approached it for help. General manager Marisa
Baker said: “We pride ourselves on providing honesty, integrity and passion. These values were exposed in our recent employment of a homeless gentlemen. We secured his Right to Work documents in addition to our company compliance procedures. “This allowed him to start
work with a prestigious retailing distribution centre. “Orbital is elated to have
given this individual the opportunity of turning his life around. “We are now in
conversations with the Hope Centre to promote further opportunities.”
