Pitmans sponsors Business of the Year

An award open to every company in the region, whether large or small, it recognises profitability, innovation, sustainability and employment.

Winner: Gamma

A rapidly growing technology-based provider of communications services to the UK business market. Newbury-based Gamma’s services – such as cloud PBX, inbound call control services, SIP trunking, mobile and data services – are designed to meet increasingly complex business requirements.

Deciding factors for the judges

Pitmans managing partner John Hutchinson revealed: “Our winner has invested substantially in innovative new product development, created 200 jobs in the past two years, and has increased its share price by over 150% in the same period. It is truly an outstanding success story.”

Gamma’s excellent customer service and commitment to helping customers maintain their competitive edge also enormously impressed the judges.

Words from proud winner

HR director Pam Williams: “This award is recognition of the great people we have at Gamma, who care very passionately about one another, our customers, and also people in our community.”
