Boxing Day Dip - Charity event in aid of DEBRA
As this event draws ever closer, it is time for interested teams and individuals
to register
themselves as participants and start collating plenty of names on your sponsorship forms to raise much needed funds for
the Butterfly Children Debra Charity. It is sure to be a day of fun and laughter for all the family with entertainment starting at 11.30am until 1.30pm and the dip itself being at midday. Mercury FM will be broadcasting live from the event and gearing everyone up for their brave endeavour. Fancy dress is encouraged although optional. Don’t be put off at the thought of having to swim in the sea in what is likely to be cold temperature. You are only required to have a dip up to your waist, yet we are sure that there will be a few more 'adventurous' folk participating who will actually go for a swim. The dip will take place in front of the bar / restaurant Isla Tabarca situated on the promenade, next to the Red Cross Station at Guardamar, and they will be offering a special Menu del Dia for the event.
This fund-raising event needs artistes to volunteer an hour or two of their time to make the day even more special for all concerned, so if you are a singer, face painter, magician or have a bouncy castle then please get in touch with Rob on 662 679 467 – your help will be most appreciated. If you still haven’t obtained your sponsorship forms then speak to Rob the main event organiser. Let's pull together as a community and have a fun filled day, but more importantly raise a great amount for this worthy cause.
