weights and core work at the end of our indoor cycling classes to create Spin Fusion classes, which our mem- bers really appreciate and has resulted in increased class sizes. This past sum- mer we incorporated more-challeng- ing aquafit classes into the schedule to capture a slightly younger demo- graphic for that program. I also run a successful Summer High Performance Training program that is geared to our elite 16- to 20- year-old hockey players. Recently I expanded it and began mar- keting it to our elite tennis players and golfers and also to a slightly younger age group; I take them through an in- troduction to fitness and exercise in general and high performance training in particular. and programs have to be very high quality in all ways and delivered with confidence and passion. When it’s time to introduce something new, we don’t reinvent the wheel, but rather, we make small tweaks and changes to our longstanding programs that are already successful. inject a spark of energy into our programs that have always been mainstays. Another important factor for us is

feedback from our membership. We al- ways consider constructive feedback and suggestions from the regular us- ers of our fitness centre. Our goal is to keep our members healthy, fit, safe and most importantly, happy. If there is a great idea on the table, then we are more than happy to work together to make it happen.

things fresh is not to change the so called core exercise but to change the equipment that we use to perform said exercise. Just as “there are many ways to skin a cat,” there are many ways to, for example, perform a squat. Sometimes we employ kettlebells or dumbbells instead of barbells. Regarding our more experienced

athletes, they realize that their pro- grams are part of their journey to suc- cess. Therefore, for these select few, their programs don’t change much. There may be times when we might change the trainer due to the nature of or the content of the program. Our corporate clientele are always

pressed for time but they still have per- sonal goals to achieve, though many just want a relief from their hectic and stressful workdays. We use a circuit format for these clients, and the circuit can change for each workout.
