ADJUSTING THE SENDER. For the most accurate reading on the gauge (with regular-shaped, rectangular tanks) the float pivot point must be half way down the tank. The sender frame is made in two pieces and it's length is adjustable by loosening the three Pozi screws and sliding the two parts apart or together. The standard sender can be adjusted for tanks between 500mm and 700mm depth. However, with the simple modification of sawing down the length of both sliding parts and using 20mm long, bolts, nuts and washers to hold them together, it is possible to shorten the sender to about 4" (100mm) long making it suitable for 8" (200mm) deep tanks.
