Teulada Moraira Lions 2016 Free* Summer Concerts on
14th August at 20:00 - Black Glitter and 11th September at 19:30 - Manhatton Jazz

The final two events in the 2016 Season of Free* Summer Concerts at The Seafront in Moraira (beside the castle) organised by Teulada Moraira Lions' Club, may be very different in terms of musical genres but each brings to the stage a band of outstanding talent and well-deserved popularity.
On 14th August, commencing at 20:00, T.M. Lions in conjunction with Hamiltons of London, as sponsors of this event, present BLACK GLITTER, the fantastic local band formed by ace drummer Geoff Britton who has, during his long and successful career, featured with top outfits such as East of Eden, Manfred Mann’s Earth Band, Rough Diamond and, of course, Paul McCartney’s Wings, when Geoff made the drummer's seat his own and recorded many successful albums with the great man himself- including the world wide super hit, 'Venus and Mars'.
The band is fronted by lead singer, Kelly Lee Cottom, whose repertoire includes great hits from the worlds of soul, the blues and good old rock ‘n roll. The sound which these guys produce is not merely professional – it can, at it’s best, give you goose-bumps but, at the same time, Kelly Lee is always quick to establish a rapport with the audience and involve them in the performance as Black Glitter belt out hit after hit to get those feet 'a-dancin'. Come along and see what we mean!
Then, on 11th September, at the slightly earlier start time of 19:30, is the last of this year's Summer Concerts, sponsored by Blevins Franks International Tax & Wealth Management and it is only fitting that this great series of events closes with Manhatton Jazz, who, as well as being a bunch of immensely talented musicians, have always been generous and enthusiastic supporters of T.M. Lions Club.
Manhatton Jazz have a large and loyal fan base throughout the Marina Alta here on the Costa Blanca. The sound they produce really is toe-tapping stuff, pretty much guaranteed to make you want to get up out of your seat and shake your booty – and there is plenty of space in front of the stage where you can make a complete spectacle of yourself. You have been warned!!
*Admission is free but Teulada- Moraira Lions' Club Members will be there in their distinctive yellow tops to raise funds for their various charitable projects by “rattling buckets” and asking for donations from the audience - so do please GIVE GENEROUSLY.
