Page 30 Busy summer for BARC


BARC (Busot Animal Rescue Concern) has announced a schedule of summer fun fundraising events to help finance the rescue rehabilitation and rehoming of lost and abandoned animals. Every Euro raised goes to the registered charity to support their work.


The charity currently have some 17 dogs, a cat and a litter of kittens that require homing, feeding and relevant veterinary care.


BARC urgently needs volunteers to adopt and/ or foster animals; to join the team in their Charity Shop in Campello, and to help run fundraising events. If you would like to volunteer please phone John on 96 597 5470 for more information.


Upcoming Events 13th August. Summer Party with “After Midnight” in El Raco de Pipo, Busot.


24th September. A Tribute to Il Divo in the Caves of Canelobre in Busot.


20th October. Grand Charity Auction in Browns Bar and Restaurant in Campello.

PIRI, female, Podenco, DOB 09.2011 – 51 cm Piri is a pretty dog, friendly towards other dogs but she does not trust people at all. Piri will need time and a lot of touching and patience and of course she also need to get accustomed to the lead. Step by step she will have to be trained to become a “normal” dog. Gizmo was born about the 14th June. He is a real character and has just learnt to jump, he is litter trained and eating independently. He is fine with dogs and other cats but really loves people.
