Page 10 Truth Lies Buried
Javea-based author formerly known as Lesley Ann Sharrock has taken to a life of crime. Now writing under the name Lesley Welsh, her first thriller was published on 7th June by Thomas & Mercer and is available in both paperback and Kindle format from Amazon.
This is an excerpt from a longer review by Nik Morton – author of Sudden Vengeance and many more.
'Welsh has created an intriguing and likeable heroine in Sam Riley. Twists and turns in the plot kept me flipping the pages, whether that’s the good suspense, the cat-and-mouse with the DI, or the confrontations with the other gangland members who also have to contend with Chinese triads and Russian
mafia. Despite the grimness of gangland violence and threat, there’s plenty of humour black and light. Irony, pathos, it’s all here, and Welsh is superb on relationships – the good and the bad. Maybe we are all haunted in one way or another. But some of us have more persistent ghosts. A brilliant novel that deserves to do well, giving the likes of Martina Cole a run for her ill-gotten gains.'
