GIUSEPPE CASTRUCCI Jaguar Club

I think we have all drooled over a Jaguar E-Type at one time or another in our lives and imagined driving one on one of the many winding roads in the Ottawa Valley. I decided to contact the “Jag” club to see what they were all about. I knew I was in for a good time when the boys asked me to meet them at Dunn’s restaurant, and join the “Usual Suspects” breakfast gang…a core group of members that meet every Wednesday for breakfast, conversation and friendly ban- ter.

Founded in 1954, the Jaguar Clubs of North America (JCNA) boasts 68 (National) chapters in the USA, Canada and Mexico, of which the Ottawa Jaguar Club (OJC) has been a member since 1985. It is truly a family event, open to the public with lunch and museum passes available. In so far as the Judged Concours is concerned, be ready to see the finest examples of the marque. The Judges are JCNA qualified and the highest awards are internationally recognized, potentially add- ing greatly to the car’s value. In other words, these cars are, in my opinion, works of art to be cherished and appreciated by everyone. The club also features monthly events such as Pleasure Drives, Destination excursions, tech sessions through the winter that deal with tires, detailing and fixing dents with the “Auto Dentist”. Spring, Fall and Christmas dinners are held at various venues which included the Hunt Club Golf and Country Club. During the high
