Restless, Head To Key West.

The Conch Republic was established by secession of the Florida Keys from the United States on April 23, 1982 in response to a United States Border Patrol Blockade setup on Highway US 1 at Florida City, just north of the Florida Keys. The act effectively isolated Keys citizens from the U.S. main- land, portraying Keys residents as non-U.S. citizens who had to prove their citizenship in order to drive onto the Florida mainland. We’re not certain if this was when the

Keys also went to the dogs. One things cer- tain, though - Key West is just as charming and more dog friendly than ever.
