Should I Stay Or Should I Go? Tips from professional pet sitter, Kaia Marquardt.
Why leave your pets with a Pet Sitter versus taking them with you or boarding them?
Kaia and Sully.
1) Pets are comfortable in their home environment. There is no anxiety over being in a new place and pets get to remain in their comfort zone. This is especially important for seniors or special needs animals. Pet sitters strive to keep consistency; we all know how a pet can have very strong preferences regarding his or her routine.
2) A pet sitter watches the house as well; someone is there daily, 72 THE NEW BARKER
keeping an eye on your home and property. No worries of news- papers or mail pilling up and you can be notified of any suspicious behavior or issues caused by weather.
3) Pet sitters make life much easier for homes with multiple pets. There is no need to move multiple animals or split up compan- ions. You only have to deal with one party –– and it is definitely much more cost-effective than boarding or traveling with your pets.
4) Last minute trips or itinerary changes are easy when you have an established pet sitter.
5)You know who is watching your pet and they in turn know what is normal for your animal. They have your pet’s best interests at heart, especially should your animal need medical attention.
