we are so different, but opposites attract... my hope kept growing & i never looked back.

Sydney, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix from Pet Pal Animal Shelter, is decked out in the finest tuxedo bib for dogs. She was all sweet for Breezy who was everything but demure in her one- of-a-kind Orostani Couture Drama Queen Wedding Dress. When she was just two, Breezy was about to be euthanized

with her second broken leg. Her owners could not afford to pay for another surgery. The veterinarian contacted Italian Greyhound Rescue Florida. Dr. John Kirsch, DVM, an orthope- dic surgeon with Coastal Veterinary in Sarasota, operated on Breezy. Italian Greyhounds, or Iggies as they are known by their fans, are susceptible to bone breaks. Another break for Breezy might result in an amputation. Annemarie Burgess, volunteer director of Italian Greyhound

Rescue Florida, ended up adopting Breezy after fostering her during her recovery and rehab. “She is a work in progress,” said Annemarie. Iggies are Velcro dogs who want to be with their humans all

the time, cuddle and sleep in bed under the blankets. The breed is the smallest of all sighthounds and typically weigh between eight and 18 pounds.
