trailhead. Tis two kilometre trail offers a little bit of all the unique features contained in this park. You’ll pass the remains of an old movie set, Te Professionals, filmed in 1966. Te White Domes themselves are formations of sandstone that contain beautiful contrasting colours. A short slot canyon cuts through a rock fin and is a spot fa- voured by children and families. Tis hike will take you through sweeping desert vistas and canyons. Hikes in the Valley of Fire are not arduous and are easy to moderate through sand and slickrock; however, they are best done from October to April as they can become dangerously hot in the summer months (especially Fire Wave).
Good to know • A $10 Daily Park Pass is required to enter.
• Camping areas are available and pets are permitted on a leash.
• The desert tortoise is a rare and protected species you may come across, please be respectful and leave them be.
• The Visitor Centre provides exhibits on the geology, ecology, prehistory, history of the park and the nearby region, as well as souvenirs. The Visitor Centre is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, 365 days a year.
