COWS, GOATS, HORSES & CHICKENS: With farm animals, a family can enjoy eggs, milk, cheese and other products. They also can earn money by selling food and animal offspring. Provide a flock of chickens — $100; pair of milk goats — $100; or milk cow or water buffalo — $300. For native missionaries attempting to reach remote vil- lages, a strong horse provides reliable transportation through mountainous terrain. The cost of a work horse is $575.
VOCATIONAL TOOLS: For many poor families, earning enough to put food on the table is a daily challenge, but with the right tools they can build a livelihood and a better future. For single mothers, sewing is one of the few options to make a decent living. Your gift of $225 will help supply a sewing machine. With a gift of $75, you can provide farm- ing tools to native villagers. For $75 you can sup- ply a set of mechanic’s tools, or with a gift of $30 you can provide fishing nets. These gifts pave the way out of poverty and into a brighter future.
TEACHING SUPPLIES/SCHOOL SUPPLIES: For teachers trying so hard to educate children in the areas where WME works, educational aids and teaching supplies are hard to obtain. With a gift of just $25, you can give a grateful teacher new materials to use in a classroom. For children from very poor families pencils, paper, books and crayons are almost impossi- ble to come by. Your gift of $25 can provide basic supplies that pave the way for a child to attend school.
Designated gifts provide for needs that may fall outside our sponsorship programs. Please consider helping us with one of these this month!
