Rev. Ghiorghi met with pastors and missionaries in Ukraine who have plans to build a Christian haven for refugees, orphans and elderly. This group has located a 15-acre property about 18 miles outside the historical city of Chernivtsi. The land has several major buildings, a few smaller ones and 3 mineral wells. If the ministers can purchase the property, they immediately plan to remodel one large building and take in as many as 60 orphans. Long-term, they hope to expand this facility into a self-sufficient community of be- lievers who are prepared to help, shelter and care for refugees of all ages.


Since the moment we were alerted about this human disaster, WME has been working with our donors to raise funds to provide much-needed aid to people fleeing the war zone in the Ukraine. These are people young and old who have witnessed the horrors of war and have been stripped of nearly everything. This is an ongoing mission with the potential to bring real light to a very dark part of the world.
