BIGGER OR BETTER:

Bigger or Better is a fun, interactive group game that is perfect for a date night. Split into even teams and give each team something small to start with like a button or a penny. Each group is required to stop at homes or businesses and ask for something bigger or better. If they have something bigger or better, you switch items and go on to the next house. Set a time limit, and meet back to show what each team has gathered. The team with the biggest or best item wins! Celebrate over ice cream sundaes.

HIKE AND PICNIC POTLUCK:

Everyone feels more comfortable outside, and a moderate hike ending in a picnic is a great way to bond together. And it’s even more fun if you all eat together. Assign each hiker one portion of the meal to bring...rolls, meat, cheese, mayo, lettuce, chips, fruit, and cookies, and when you get to the top, spread out a blanket and enjoy the food and the view together.

GAME NIGHT: TAKE A CLASS:

Doing something new together is a fast way to cement a friendship, so think outside the box! You can sign up for yoga, ceramics, ball- room dance, painting, cooking, karate, boxing, or acting. Some classes are even free your first time, so it could be a very inexpensive date. You might not find your newest passion, but you are guaranteed to make some life-long memories.

There are so many nights full of electronics, so switching it up and playing board games instead can be a lot of fun. Choose games that involve the entire group at the same time. Remember to switch games and switch teams often enough to keep everyone engaged!

CHOPPED:

Having a cooking competition kills two birds with one stone...you get to eat and play at the same time! Give each team the same ingredi- ents for an appetizer, main course, and dessert, and make sure you have access to someone’s kitchen. Set a time limit and see what everyone creates! At the end of the night or after each course, sit down and eat together family style, sampling food from every team. If you are seri- ous about the competition, bring in an impartial judge, like a parent or sibling to decide on a chopped champion!
