living
you ever noticed how a beautiful piece of music makes you feel? Why do you think that is? I believe it is because things that are good and beautiful are filled with light and positive energy. They are truth in its purest form. So then, if we are grateful, we attract truth and promote truth around us. We give light to others and bring a pos- itive light to ourselves and to those who are with us. We can be filled with light energy and actually be beauty in its purest form! An article in Forbes Magazine by Amy Morin states that there are 7 scientifically proven benefits of gratitude, and many of those point to a good self esteem, good mental and physical health and better friendships. (To learn more about the 7 benefits, see 7 Scientifically Proven Benefits of Gratitude, November 2014.) Can you see how important it is to adopt this
way of life, especially because studies have shown the benefits for our feelings about ourselves, those around us, our health and our success? I promise you that if you can hold onto an atti- tude of gratitude and sharing, your life can always be on the upswing, even during bad days. I have really worked hard to have a mind of gratitude and sharing over the last few years. I have have noticed a significant change in how life works out, in how positive things come my way, and in how the more I give in thanks and in sharing, the more I have to share with others. Call me crazy, but it’s true. Truth and light don’t appreciate selfishness or darkness. The more you give away, the more you radiate, and the more you receive.
WHAT ARE LOW AG QUOTIENT SYMPTOMS?
These symptoms are fairly easy to spot: irritable,
hurt, prideful, impatient, panicked that there may not be enough (of whatever), worried/anxious, pessimistic, a want to be in control—these all point to low AG. If you still aren’t sure about where your AG Quotient stands, here’s a simple test I take.
Ask yourself:
1. Do I feel calm, peaceful? 2. Do I feel a general sense of well-being? 3. Am I patient with people around me? 4. Do I care about the another person’s welfare? 5. Do I feel optimistic? 6. Do I want to create a win/win situation where everyone is happy? (Teamwork vs. in-it-for-me attitude.) 7. Do I feel there is plenty to share (of anything)? 8. If it appears as if something may not work out how I hoped, am I peaceful in knowing there is a better solution? 9. Do I feel full of light? 10. Am I happy?
My AG Quotient 1-10 is a level ___. If I can answer yes to all of these questions, I
know my AG Quotient is topnotch, and I rank a high score. If, however, I have answered no and feel any of these symptoms above, I know I need to take action to boost my AG Quotient.
WHAT IF MY AG QUOTIENT IS LOW?
A quick way to hike that AG Quotient is to take
a few minutes to either mentally list things you are grateful for, listen to uplifting music, and think about your gifts and blessings. The blessings can be the simplest of things. This is a temporary and great first step. If you want lasting beauty and a climbing AG Quotient, however, keep an AG jour- nal by your bed and write the simple test ques- tions above in the front of the journal. Each night make a list of the things you are grateful for and any special thoughts you have about the day. Then make a record of your AG Quotient by recording it once a week. After several weeks you will notice an upward climb in the numbers. I can guarantee, if your AG Quotient is going up, so is your RB (Real Beauty) Quotient. Have fun with this!
