asparagus. There is a long-lasting acidity on the finish. Pairs very well with white meats, vegetables and oriental dishes. 4.5 Stars
Matt Parish Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, California, 2013 I make it no secret that I am not a huge red
wine fan, but once in a while I taste one that knocks my socks off. Such is the case with this wine. This is by far the juiciest, most enjoy- able Cabernet I've tasted in quite some time. It is well rounded, rich and smooth. Matt Parish set out to create the perfect Napa Val- ley cab, and in my opinion he met and even surpassed that lofty goal. This wine is as smooth as silk, with a nice touch of spice on the finish. Because the wine was recently bottled, it is
suggested that you decant or just leave open for about 30 minutes before drinking. Pairs very well with Southern barbecue! Also with a nice steak with grilled vegetables. Five Stars Plus!
Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough, New Zealand, 2013 Named after a secluded bay near Marlbor-
ough, this vibrant Sauvignon Blanc is pale yellow with brilliant clarity. Fresh and lively, it displays a vibrantly fruity nose, with aro- mas of white peach and apricot. For a $14 wine, Monkey Bay is quite elegant, with clean citrus flavors, crisp acidity, and a touch of nuttiness and spice on the finish. Enjoyable on its own or paired with shell- fish, sea bass or salads. Five Stars
True Myth California Chardonnay 2013 True Myth is loaded with crisp and rich fla-
vors of pear, pineapple, light citrus, vanilla bean and hints of toasted oak. I love the taste, I love the name. Artistic Aside: It has a beau- tiful, colorful label! Four and One Half Stars
Noble Vines 242 Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc San Bernabe, Monterey, California 2012 Named for its grape growing location on
Block 242 of the San Bernabe Vineyard, lo- cated in the cool-climate of Monterey, this is one of the zestiest wines you will ever con- sume. Crisp notes of citrus mingle with deli- cious minerality to create a fine bottle of wine from nose to finish. Pair 242 with oysters (yum!), grilled
chicken or pork dishes - or just enjoy a nice glass over ice. Hey, don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it! 5 stars •
