time, and that by being on time, it’s a way of saying I care. Not being on time is a way of saying I don’t care.

True, true... I wish more people will be on time. It seems like I’m always on time or early, but most of my friends are like, if you’re supposed to be there at 1:00, they’re leaving their house at 1:00. That’s right. There’s been times in my life where people don’t show up and I just leave, and they get there late, and say, “Well, we were there, where were you?” and I say, “Well you weren’t on time so I left.”

So you’re saying that boxing thing is kind of like being a musician, you have to have a job if you’re doing that, be- cause you’re sure not going to get paid anything, unless you become Paul Thorn or Toby Keith. But there’s a lot of people who wish they could do what I’ve been able to do – make a living doing what I’m doing, playing music. I’m very thankful for that.

We have an 11 year old daughter and we have a pretty good sized house that has to be cleaned and a dog that has to be fed, and she’s got to take the baby to school, and go to her job. There’s all kind of things. She’s got a heavy cross on her back. I try my best to accommodate her as much I can because she sure has accommo- dated me for the last 16 years.

That’s really sweet. You said you started in 1997, playing. Ironically, I was just looking back and that was the first time I saw you, in 1997. It doesn’t seem that long ago. But it was. – at the Handlebar in Greenville, solo. Is that right? Time flies, man.

So anyway, I was going to talk about the boxing thing, but I’m going to tell everyone to refer back - it’s all over YouTube and other interviews I’ve got archived- they can read about Roberto Duran. It was kind of interesting though – that you did get to fight him. He’s pretty popular. Let’s say a word or
