Page 34 Los Infiernos Dog Rescue Centre sponsored skydive.
The Los Infiernos Perrera is a small dog refuge located in the municipality of Torre Pacheco, 10 mins from San Javier Airport, and has the mission to receive, care for and re-home abandoned/ abused dogs. It is assisted in this by the charity Caminando Con Ellos (registered with Murcia council nº G30881924) and a support group (L.I.P.S) who are multinational volunteers that help in the running of the pound as well as re-homing and fund raising activities. Unsurprisingly there is a continual flow of dogs and L.I.P.S works hard to find suitable homes for all of them in Spain and across the rest of Europe. However until each dog leaves the costs associated with its feeding, medication and veterinary treatment are high so the group is always desperate to raise additional funds. With this aim nine of the volunteers will be doing a freefall skydive on the 11th October at the Skydive Murcia centre in Ontur near Hellin to raise as much money as possible through sponsorship. Each volunteer is paying for their own skydive so all of the money donated will be used to care for the dogs, some of whom can be seen on Facebook: Los Infiernos Perrera Supporters. PEPA 10th Anniversary Lunch
The PEPA lunch for October will take place on Sunday 25th October.
November 27th. AKIRA Christmas Ball. Salon de Canor Teulada. 7.15pm for 8pm. Welcome cava, three course meal with wine. Music to suit all tastes. Finish off your meal to the sounds from lovely BeckyBB, followed by the Blue Brothers who will certainly get you up dancing and then the ET Disco. 35 Euros. 4 month old Linda was born in the wild and rescued with her mum and 7 puppies. She adjusted well and has grown into a social loving girl. She looks like a dobermann, but mum is podenco and dad a tricolor terrier, hence the amazing look. More info on Facebook: tanamera spain or Jacky: 644 240 982.
This is Buffy. She has a beautiful chocolate brown coat and is a nice medium size. She walks well on the lead and is good with other dogs. She is 1½ years old and is waiting to be adopted. Nuria is a beautiful small medium sized dog about 4 years old. She is friendly with people, very wary of dogs larger than her but fine with smaller ones and not phased by cats.
