Easy and free parking for the Gata de Gorgos Artisan Fair on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October.

This is your annual chance to visit the Fira Gata al Carrer (Artisan Fair) with its commercial, handicraft, gastronomic, activities, music, exhibitions and much, much more!

Now in its 12th year the fair is being held on 10th and 11th October between the hours of 10am to 10pm. As usual the fair will consist of many variety of stalls of food exhibitions, tapas bars, a charity market, a lace making workshop, a macramé workshop, a bedspread exhibition, horse drawn carriage rides, music in the streets, children’s play area, wine tasting, sausage tasting, bread baking, street art, cheese tasting and many other artisan traditional products. It’s great for a good relaxing meander through the Gata streets, and the chance to buy traditional home made and natural items and products.

As part of the celebrations Maria Soler of The Maria Soler Handbag Shop & Museum will be opening her Shop and Museum almost 24/7 for the 2 days! “The trade fair is always a wonderful experience for the whole family” says

Maria. “This year my shop and museum will be open all the time to receive guests, and please come and use our well signposted private car park for free! Park up, come and see our Museum and the Shop, enjoy a glass of mistela wine and we’ll be having some traditional Spanish sweets and cakes as well. Then the fair is only100m walk further on.”

With Christmas only 12 weeks away, now is the time to start thinking about presents, and gifts. In Maria’s shop you will find beautiful handbags in many designs, sizes, materials and colours. Maria Soler handbags are made right here at the factory using both traditional and modern methods and will give many years of faithful service. For men (who are usually always hard to buy for) there is a range of ‘laptop bags’, ‘man-bags’, and even ‘satchels.’ The bags make for a perfect gift whatever the age of the recipient. And it is always nicer to receive an actual gift selected for you personally rather than a gift-voucher or cash. It shows the giver has taken time, has made an effort and has picked something that will last for ages and bring a smile to the recipient’s face for many years to come.

So do visit Gata’s trade fair and come and broaden your knowledge about Spain at Maria’s Shop and Museum. Free parking is just past The Maria Soler Museum & Shop which is located at Calle Jalon No 70, Gata de Gorgos. Tel 965 756 059.

Highly recommended - do come - the fair is only held once a year.
