Female Focus


TJJ was started in 2011 by a group of Dutch expats and very quickly became multinational now having a Board comprised of Dutch, German, English and Finnish members.

TJJ focuses on Javea where many local families need help. To


date TJJ has raised almost 40.000€ which has been put to excellent use. How the money is spent. TJJ reaches out to situations other charities

Thus we are able to maintain a degree of normality for children of a family which has suffered a tragedy eg a family where sadly the mother died leaving 3 young children. The father had to give up his job to look after the children, TJJ paid for 2 of the children to continue with their music for a term to help them maintain some sort of normality. We are currently supporting two families of orphans by paying for essentials like school materials, lunches and utility bills. TJJ does not personally meet the families it helps; families need respect when they have problems. As we become more widely known and there are more requests it is humbling to realise how tragic some lives can be. Also we have bought instruments for musically gifted children to be able to continue with


their music at the Conservatorio as their families were unable to finance these purchases. The money raised cannot go astray, cannot be spent on non essentials. It is monitored carefully by Social Services and treasurer of TJJ. Money is never given to families without proof of purchase, usually TJJ pays the supplier. Raising money.


Until now this has been through top quality musical events and art exhibitions. We have presented Música para Todos in Javea pueblo in collaboration with the students, teachers and local parents of the Conservatorio de Musica for 3 consecutive years. TJJ also works closely with the ayuntamiento of Jávea and the organisation Concerts Costa


We would also welcome help from anybody who would like an active role in planning and organising our events. TJJ need volunteers to help with events, selling tickets, publicity and of course to support and attend our events as well as the constant need for more financial support. We would love people to spread the word about the work we do. You can also make donations. Donations are many and often very generous. Some anonymous. Eg A local widow donated a snooker table to TJJ, a local woman bought it for her husband and sons and donated money to TJJ, two very happy families and a huge boost to a local family in difficulty. hosting a prestigious


concert by Haochen Zhang, a world- renowned young Chinese pianist. Also we have had lots support from the commercial businesses in Jávea, and from the churches, tourist board and the Casa de Cultura, and had stalls on the Easter Market.

This will start at 12.30am for approx 1 hour. Admission free, retiring donation to TJJ. Christmas carols in the town will be performed by the school children of Jávea, (date to be confirmed but likely to be Thursday 10th December) with the support of Overseasfm, Totalfm and BayRadio. All public are invited and encouraged to join in!
