Dear Fellow Adventurers

I WAS BLOWN AWAY by some of the words from our advertisers this issue, and I think you will be too. It’s phenomenal that there are so many amazing people doing more than amazing things to help progress our development as humans and as a planet generally – and we’re stoked to be able to bring them to you. Shakti Durga’s writeup on alchemy

is choc-a-bloc with gems. She tells us that “Alchemy describes the processes used in spiritual training which enable personal growth and self-realisation. You can also stumble across alchemy by yourself because the entire process of life is designed to be alchemical.” As I was reading her writeup, I marked

five more bon mots that really lit me up, and just look at this one: “Sugar never thought it would be a cake; a tree never expected to become coal let alone a diamond. We are all transforming; so go with the flow. Resistance just makes it harder.” Remember also that you passively

contribute to the planet’s development just by being a reader of the magazine and taking in the knowledge – and you actively participate by taking up the invitations of the advertisers. “You have a unique song to sing that

only you can express. This is what the world is waiting for. This is how you are meant to contribute – by being yourself.” (Jena Griffiths, advertising in the NSW/ QLD edition)

Julio De Laffitte wakes us up to what we can contribute in this life via his specialty, which is making money. Yes, he’s a genius at this, and, let’s face it, in this niche lots of us have issues with that concept. His writeup is gold, pardon the pun, and outlines ways that we may be in the way of our own success. He explains six habits we might have. I’m not about to fess up and tell you my personal issues, as that would be simply too revealing, but I encourage you to have a private read of it and see if it hits any sore spots for you too. Breathe! Acknowledge that you’re not

perfect. Learn. Change. Ah yes, change. Someone told me

once that the Australian Government won’t let its printer publish anything with the word ‘change’ because it frightens too many members of the public. Not sure of the truth of that, but it sounds plausible. But what about the saying about the

only constant in life being change? This was penned by Heraclitus of Ephesos around 500BC. He also taught that there is no reason to fear or try to avoid strife because conflict is the essential underlying force in life. Golly, and here we were thinking it’s just an effect of modern times … and that brings us right back to Shakti Durga’s piece on alchemy and how we need to be compressed by life to make us into diamonds. In this issue we have a few articles that

aid change – hoping you’re up for it. Boris von Rechenberg gives us some lifestyle

hints and lists of supplements to support our endeavours; August Cyr takes us through a beautifully moving inner and outer journey that she took in her travel to the Arctic; Jena Griffiths asks if we are wearing storm-tinted spectacles as she recounts stories that demonstrate how our thinking creates our reality – yes, we have all heard that again and again, but these are interesting tales and written so well that you’ll enjoy the read… and it may help you to take the step to change; and Anthony Eaton explains how ice addicts can actually be cured – and that’s a really big change! Thank you if you participated in our

recent reader survey. We’ve drawn the winners, and will notify them personally in the next week or so, and then advise the outcome in print in the August issue.

With love
