EXPORT WORKSHOP UNVEILS OVERSEAS POTENTIAL
Northamptonshire Chamber is working with Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership (NEP) and UKTI to offer a free half-day workshop to help businesses take their first steps in trading overseas. The event, held on 19 May at Silverstone Circuit, will see the
Chamber’s International Trade Team along with other advisors from NEP and UKTI, giving advice and guidance on exporting products or services to new international markets. During the morning, a number of Northamptonshire
companies will describe their export journey and how exporting has impacted on business growth. There will also be an exhibition of export support
companies and organisations that can help firms get started in trading overseas as well as round table discussions, interactive Q&A sessions. Brigid Hodgkinson (pictured), the Chamber’s international
trade manager, said: “We are delighted to be working with the event organisers NEP and UKTI on this fantastic opportunity for those new to exporting. “This workshop will show would-be exporters the potential gains of trading overseas and the
support available in helping firms to fulfil their global ambitions. “The Chamber’s International Trade Team has a wealth of experience that can help companies
navigate their way through all of the regulatory procedures and documents required for doing business on a global scale. “It is also a great opportunity for firms to hear first-hand experiences from Northamptonshire’s own exporters who have successfully made the leap from national to international markets.”
