NEW MD FOR FORMULA 1 SIMULATOR FIRM
A new managing director is hoping to make a speedy entrance into the leisure and corporate hospitality sector after taking over GP Race Driver. Robert Twiselton took over the helm at the specialist
events and marketing company, which hires out full-size Formula 1 simulators and show cars built locally in Silverstone for events such as exhibitions, weddings and charity events. He began his career working in the environmental
sector and was employed by a number of large corporates. Robert was instrumental in establishing two new specialist recycling brands and left the industry looking for a new challenge. Robert said: “Formula 1 is a sexy high-tech sport and our simulators have exactly the same effect as the real thing, adding glamour and excitement to any event.” He told inbusiness that becoming a member of Northamptonshire Chamber was first on his to-do list as the new managing director. “I know being a member of the Chamber will give me that
opportunity to meet with like-minded businesses and given that Northants is a national centre of excellence for motorsport technology, I couldn't be in a better place to join in on the action.”
