MNDA AIMING TO HIT STRATEGIC TARGETS
The charity Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, which has its head office in Northampton, is on target to achieve its strategic goals. These goals relate to the
charity’s three mission areas: care, research, campaigning and awareness, and its supporting activities of partnerships, education, people, income and governance. MND Association states
that a combination of hard work and external factors helped the charity to move ahead of where it expected to be at the end of 2014. The areas where the charity
has made the most progress include income and awareness, secondly genetic research and lastly personal health budgets. Chief executive Sally Light said: “There is much for all of us who are part
of the association to celebrate in terms of genuine progress in the delivery of our mission for people with MND, their families and carers. “We move into our second year of strategy in a very strong position.
Progress against almost all our 56 goals is either on or ahead of schedule. “It is clear to me that 2015 and 2016 will be exciting years for the association, as we strive to move closer to our vision of a world free from MND.”

PROMOTION FOR ACCOUNTANT
An award-winning Northampton accountant has advanced through the ranks at an industry-leading firm thanks partly to his work with clients in education. Glen Bott
(pictured) joined national accountancy firm Chantrey Vellacott after graduating from The University of Northampton with a degree in accounting and finance. The 30-year-old recently
celebrated eight years at Chantrey Vellacott and marked the occasion with a promotion to audit manager, having previously qualified with the firm and served as an assistant manager. Glen was a national prize
winner for his performance in his final Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) exams and has gone on to develop a strong reputation in both commercial and not for profit sectors. He said: “I work across both
commercial and not for profit sectors, but a significant growth area for us in the Midlands has been in education with schools and academies.”
