can’t begin to describe. As the WME team and I sat on concrete steps that led into their past room of worship, tears rolled down our cheeks. The Holy Ghost was with us and was an overpowering presence in that place and in that moment. Few times had I felt that close to God, and I certainly didn’t expect such emotional bliss in a remote area of the world with people who have been shunned by the vast majority of their native population.
Although complete strangers to these people, we were smothered in ac- ceptance from the moment we arrived. While these precious people liter- ally have nothing, you’d never know it by the looks of complete peace and love found on each of their faces. And even though we couldn’t un- derstand each other’s language, there was a common denominator in the fact that we all loved Christ and were brothers and sisters with the same goal of winning souls for our Savior.
As they welcomed us and tried to meet our needs, they asked nothing in return. But even though they were too humble to voice them, we could see many of their needs. The first would be providing the funds neces- sary to complete their new church, which will be the first evangelical house of worship in their village. Once finished, they will need help to fur- nish and supply this church. Another small thing that would make such a huge impact is providing goats to supply milk to the many children of these families.
Please pray and see if it is within your heart to donate, no matter how small the amount, to achieve these goals. God literally walks among these Gypsies and He loves them, as we should. I feel that He expects us to do our part in helping bring these souls into the Kingdom of Christ.
