Walter and his wife, DeeDe, arrive at WME’s property at Emu- ruadikir to visit our work in Maasai country.

After a few hours’ ride, we arrived at their community. It was amaz- ing to see such a spacious region surrounded by beautiful moun- tain ranges. We were greeted and welcomed by the community chief and leaders (without spears, thankfully). Then we met the children in their sharp uniforms as well as the teach- ers from the WME Primary School.

This is the first gener- ation of Maasai who have had the oppor- tunity to be educated and to go on to higher education. Many words of pride and gratitude from the leaders (along with radiant smiles) expressed joy in knowing the WME
