A side view of the new clinic that Katie and WME have teamed to build in Uganda
shop for new toys and backpacks as well as to enjoy a once-in-a- lifetime trip to an amusement park in Kampala. It was an ab- solutely magical experience for these children and a day none of us will ever forget!
Sadly, my time in Pallisa has come to a close for now. I’m so thankful for everything I’ve experienced and learned while living in this remote part of Uganda, and I feel like I’m leaving Pallisa hav- ing accomplished all of my ministry goals. But I’m not leaving Uganda!
Now I am focusing my efforts on the Jinja area. We have ordered a large shipping container filled with nutritious, ready-to-eat meals, and it is scheduled to arrive very soon. We will be using these meals to feed hundreds of poor, Ugandan children in 4 different areas for well over a year. I’m so excited to see this finally happen!
In addition, I will be working with the local pastor of a Full Gospel church on an expansion project for the Bethel Junior School in Jinja. The goal is to complete the classroom for a new P-4 grade level for children who desperately need the chance to get an edu- cation.
