AWARD WINNERS

Richard Grahame from Callendar Pharmacy with Rebecca Carbrejas, Generics Business Manager, Actavis UK

PHARMACY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT WILLOW HEALTH CARE T/A CALLENDAR PHARMACY, FALKIRK

The Pharmacy Business Development Award went to Callendar Pharmacy, Falkirk who, since buying an existing contract from Tesco in Falkirk four years ago and relocating it to new premises in July 2010 has seen the business double digit growth each year. The whole project the team were rewarded for has transformed their business. Much effort and investment has been put into the existing business and the team have ‘surpassed our own expectations’ in what they set out to achieve when deciding to relocate some twelve months ago.

“We are delighted to have won this award. As a team we have put in a lot of hard work over the last year and it is fantastic to have that recognised and that to know it has paid off. We started off with ideas of a grand

scheme in our heads that we wanted to do and by the end of it the project has exceeded all of our expectations. This is the cherry on the cake for us. I would recommend to any of my colleagues thinking of entering these awards to defi nitely go for it,” said Richard Grahame of Callendar Pharmacy.

Rebecca Carbrejas, Generics Business Manager, Actavis UK added, “I am very pleased to be associated with the Scottish Pharmacist Awards and in particular the Pharmacy Business category. Richard and his team have obviously put in a lot of hard work and it has been wonderful to see such deserving winners.”
