Safeguarding Your Money Most of you in business will at some point have had a concern
about whether you will get paid for your services. Sometimes, there may be an added issue of a looming dispute, and a client threatens to stop paying until you have completed specified work. To smooth out some of the potential problems of payment terms, it is reassuring to have a free service available called the ‘Stakeholder Account’, which can be used to help your client pay any monies into a ring-fenced account, that as the business owner, you know will be provided to you when you have completed the agreed work in a signed document with your client. “I knew about the Stakeholder account and used it to help my client pay me for some initial design work that I did. Staying informed The Trade Associations are committed to providing regular
updates to members on industry-relevant topics, including pages in SPN (and other wet leisure press). There is also a weekly newsletter emailed to members that give bite-sized chunks of information.
