Polygon UK And Ireland Staff Happy To ‘Wear It Pink’

Polygon UK and Ireland staff were happy to ‘bin the beige’ and throw sartorial workday convention to the wind by taking part in Breast Cancer UK’s fantastic fashion fundraiser, the ‘wear it pink’ campaign. With 1,000 women still dying from breast cancer in the UK every month, the fight is still a long way from being over. Breast Cancer UK has cleverly championed its ownership of the colour pink (with its traditional links to femininity), to help raise awareness of breast cancer, not only to help find new cures but to improve education around early detection. Carol Bedford, Claims Manager, Polygon UK and Ireland coordinated the ‘Wear it Pink’ event with an important helping hand from Lorraine Ison, Senior Claims Manager-High Net Worth, who organised a hugely popular ‘bake off’ style competition. Full advantage was taken of the seasonal dressing-up fever that surrounds Halloween! The team succeeded in raising the amazing total of £1,403.16 for Breast Cancer UK.

Carol comments: “I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who took part and everyone who was so kind in making a donation. Breast cancer has touched many of our lives, so we felt compelled to do something really positive for a very good cause. I’m sure our lively sense of fashion brightened up the office for the day too!”

Polygon UK and Ireland also matched the total amount raised by the fundraisers.

Tribute To Andreas Sofikitis Of Sofikitis Poolstones
