City of Glasgow College takes home top HR award

taff at City of Glasgow College have been named champions of the human resources
profession at the largest and most prestigious HR awards ceremony in Scotland. Te staff, who work in
the college’s HR and Organisational Development departments, took home the Organisational Development of the Year Award from the HR Network Awards, in recognition of the many exceptional, inspiring and creative initiatives they have implemented for college staff. As well as excelling in their
day-to-day delivery of HR duties – which include recruitment, staff training and diversity and equality – the team is also

responsible for implementing policies and development programmes at the college. Te independent judges
praised college staff for organising a major on-campus
event to deliver insights into the evolving job market, business innovations and revolutionary new ways of learning. Te ‘One City’ event, which took place in June and is thought to be the
first event of such scale in Scotland’s college sector, brought together representatives of employers and students, as well as teaching and student support staff.
