f you’re looking for free resources to help you educate your clients and community on drugs, Drug-Free World offers a wide spectrum.
Drug-Free World (
http://www.drugfreeworld.org/), a
nonprofit in Los Angeles, empowers youth and adults with factual information about drugs, and provides educational tools including DVDs and booklets full of facts about the dangers of marijuana, heroin, Ritalin, alcohol, etc. All of the booklets are available for download or in hard copy version with free ship- ping. More than 50 million drug prevention booklets have been distributed by Drug-Free World in more than 180 countries in 20 languages. Their marijuana booklet, “The Truth About Marijuana,” for
instance, includes marijuana’s street names, facts comparing alcohol and marijuana, side effects and international statistics. Drug-Free World’s interactive website also provides access to
short video ads, public service announcements and short documen- taries with true stories from recovering addicts.

A great place to start is with their all-inclusive resource that we’d like to recommend to our members: their free “Truth About Drugs Information Kit for Educators.” Tis kit, exclusively for educators, law enforcement officers and other drug prevention specialists who teach people 11 years old and up, includes: • “Te Truth About Drugs” booklet, the centerpiece of the 13-booklet “Te Truth About Drugs” series;
