Alan Hardwick and Shanette Middlebrook, who work at Fisher German’s Planning and Rural Consultancy teams respectively, have been promoted to Associate level. Alan, a
Chartered Town Planner, has been with Fisher German for two years, after three years with the local authority and two years in private practice.
A large proportion of his time is
involved in the firm’s Severn Trent framework contract. Amongst other client work, he provides advice and services for the University of Bedfordshire. Shanette originally came to
Fisher German for holiday employment and also her sandwich year placement while studying at Harper Adams. She joined the firm full time in
2007 and is now principally involved in estate management work. In 2008 she obtained her APC and successfully passed her exams to become a Fellow of the Agricultural Valuers Association. She is also involved in general practice work, assisting the department with the organisation of various office and client related functions. Senior Partner John Pitts

ruraL Business and estates team grows
Thomas Eggar LLP has appointed James Pavey as Partner with a focus on Rural Business and Estates (RBE).
James, a specialist in dispute resolution, strengthens the firm’s
existing reputation in property and, in particular, it’s offering to the RBE sector. Prior to joining Thomas Eggar LLP, James spent 12 successful years at Knights Solicitors, where he built a practice in property and public law dispute resolution. He is a member of the Country Land and Business Association’s Legal, Parliamentary and Property Rights Committee and President of the Cambridge University Land Society. James said, “Thomas Eggar has
an excellent reputation and I am delighted to be joining an ambitious team with a strong client base. Sales & Lettings Negotiator. Jennifer has been replaced in
Sonning Common by Tim Mason, who joins the
company as a Senior Sales & Lettings
Negotiator, bringing with him an arcade of experience in the industry as a well known figure within the areas Caversham and Emmer Green. Georgina
Patey has moved from covering Goring- on-Thames and Pangbourne to
the Twyford office as Sales & Lettings Negotiator, allowing another new joiner, Andy Sartain, to take over as Lettings Sales Negotiator for both the Goring- on-Thames and Pangbourne offices, having
previously worked for a local independent agency. Finally, Ben Hicks joins the Pangbourne office as a Senior
Negotiator, and has already become an
integral part of the team.
Leaders promotes CaroLine to area manager Leaders has announced the promotion of Caroline White to Area
Manager, which entails assisting
Regional Director Allison Thompson in overseeing Leaders’ Bromley, Beckenham, Redhill, Reigate and Dorking branches, as well as playing a key part in future acquisitions in the region. Caroline – who joined Leaders
five years ago when the firm acquired Principals in Woking – has 20 years experience within the property industry, and has worked specifically in lettings for the last 11 years. She is ARLA qualified and
passed Leaders’ own legal qualification with an impressive 98.3 per cent – one of the highest marks ever achieved. Says Allison, “Congratulations to
Caroline, she thoroughly deserves this promotion. When she joined us, Caroline was a team leader within our busy property management department based in Woking. She was promoted to head of property management for the whole of Surrey and has played an instrumental part in our senior management team. “I am confident Caroline will be

aLma Forum’s new Chair CAREERS
A lettings industry self-regulator in South Wales is celebrating 20 years of promoting best practice, with the appointment of a new chairman. The ALMA Forum (Association of Letting & Management Agents), established in 1991, has appointed Peter Vidler, from Cardiff-based Keylet Letting Agent as its new Chairman. Peter, pictured with Anne Rowlands from ALMA, has 17 years experience in lettings and management, refurbishment and new-build property development. “Peter brings many years of
experience in the rental industry with him. He will continue to drive ALMA as a recognised organisation forward with an end goal to educate and improve agent standards within the industry in Cardiff,” said vice-chairman Will Gibbs, of Thomas George. Peter said, “I’m delighted to
have been given this opportunity. I aim to raise more awareness of the organisation to agents, landlords and tenants, to ensure we offer vital support to agents and clients.”
