BANG THE DRUM

Welcome to W

here we live is one third of the triangle of life for most of us. Home, occupation and family and friends are the basis of our wellbeing, so it’s not surprising that homes, whether owned or rented, are the cause of so much discussion, debate and currently, dismay.

Affordability, choice, regulation, supply and demand, standards... an endless list of topics

discussed around every table in the land – and every discussion has the possibility of impacting on your property business. Keeping abreast of the shifting sands of property politics is crucial, but it is also fascinating.

Just once in a while it’s worth taking time out to listen to industry experts and external views.’

All the speakers at the PROPERTYdrum National Conference & Exhibition on 27 September, addressed the issues and changes in our lives and how they affect our markets, impressing delegates with their knowledge, but, much more importantly, causing them to think, to explore and to consider where they are positioned to manage change and benefit from it. Just once in a while, it is very worthwhile

to take time out from the daily trials and occasional joys of business to listen to industry experts and external views. Which is why, I believe, we had such fantastic feedback from all our delegates. They didn’t come to hear the same old tired debates and

presentations by the same old industry voices, they wanted inspiration, cause for thought, energy and a reason to keep pushing, to make sure they will be able to raise their game in 2012, the Olympic Year for everyone in the UK – in many more ways than ‘just’ the Games. Keep tuning into PROPERTYdrum as 2011 moves into 2012, come to our conferences, read our weekly updates in JUNGLEdrum; we’ll be with you all the way and indeed, raising our game too!
