eptember 27th was a very important day for PROPERTYdrum with our first major national conference for the residential property industry. Held at the Lancaster London’s conference and
banqueting suite just a fortnight after the completion of its £10million refurbishment, 230 delegates and 60 exhibitors enjoyed a busy day with an excellent range of speakers, an exhibition with 36 key industry suppliers and plenty of time to meet friends and colleagues. PROPERTYdrum would like to say
a very big thank you to all the delegates, exhibitors and, very importantly, Digital Property Group our main sponsor along with our lunch sponsor, Deverell Smith Recruitment. Special thanks also to our excellent
speakers, who not only attracted a broad range of delegates from agencies large and small across the country, but informed and entertained them throughout the day. The comments from delegates on the day and after the event were really wonderful and very encouraging for us at PROPERTYdrum. The Twitter activity
throughout the day was amazing, and the impression was that friends and colleagues of the ‘tweeters’ realised they were missing a great day! That’s the special thing
about running an event these days – everyone can relay information across the globe, instantly, telling others how good – or indeed bad – an event is! The icing on the cake (in one small way)

2012: Raising Your Game, meant listening intently, absorbing good advice and experience.’
was hearing news of the Conference broadcast across the world on Radio 4’s PM programme. Eddie Mair interviewed PROPERTYdrum Jt. Managing Director Grant Leonard, discussing who had attended, who the speakers were and how the whole day had gone. Great recognition for the property industry as being worthy of discussion (rather than being slammed!) and a proud moment for us! The plans are already
underway for next year’s event – more information will be released in the next couple of months, but we
hope to see everyone who came this year and everyone else who couldn’t join us this year – don’t miss out again!
WHO SAID WHAT? So much was said as ten speakers shared their knowledge and experience, along with views on the future and advice on the conference theme, 2012: Raising Your Game.
In brief Dr James Bellini is a futurologist, an historian, a broadcaster and writer. Aside from making most of us feel as if we know very little about the world, Dr Bellini issues wake up calls and recommends that we all realise the future isn’t something that is coming ‘at some stage’; the future is happening now – and we are all in it
