It’s the pinstripes. Our annual visit to Steinbrenner Field to catch the Tampa Yankees play, gets more and more dog-friend- ly-fun. Bark at the Ballpark on May 10, co-spon- sored by Fuzzie Buddies, Urgent Pet Care of South Tampa and The New Barker benefited the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. The first 250 dogs through the gates received a special Tampa Yankees Dog Toy.

The New Barker invited Andrea Gonzmart to throw out the first pitch. We were all pretty impressed with her form, and her ball made it to the plate. She is shown here with her daughter, Amelia and Tampa Yankees mascot, Blue, whose favorite color is Yankees blue. Dexter is half Maltese and half Chihuahua. The seven-month-old furball was busy getting signatures on his Yankees dog tee.

(Below): The New Barker up in lights. No, this is not Photoshop. This is for real, and we must admit, never tire of seeing it. Thank you Tampa Yankees. Photography by Anna Cooke.
